Job description

​We are currently partnering with a Housing Association in Surrey, who are recruiting for a Damp, Mould and Disrepair Manager to join their growing team on a 4-month temporary to permanent contact.

This is an opportunity with a salary of £65,000 per annum with temporary rate being negotiable (subject to experience), with the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing and implementing our client’s approach to tackling damp and mould, ensuring approaches align with the Housing Ombudsman recommendations
  • Leading changes to move towards a more proactive and preventative approach to tackling damp and mould issues
  • Ensuring that our commitments and action plan on dealing with damp and mould is achieved, with timescales and expected outcomes delivered
  • Leadership and Management of our surveying teams and process to ensure accurate and timely interventions to more complex issues
  • Leadership and Management of the Legal Disrepair Team and process, including collaboration with legal services to ensure disrepair cases are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Implement changes to support the team to resolve disrepair cases in a timely manner and reduce the existing caseload

Experience required:

  • The ideal candidate will have strong experience of managing damp, mould and disrepair cases and recent Social Housing experience.
  • Must have a formal qualification e.g., HNC/HND, RICS etc

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
