Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a leading Criminal Justice charity based in and around the South West, who are recruiting for a CYP Exploitation Caseworker for a 9-month Fixed-Term contract.

This impressive role is offering a competitive rate between £25,000-£28,000 (subject to experience), extreme flexibility to manage your own diary and additional company benefits from day one.

The ideal candidate will have experience working and supporting vulnerable young people, the ability to handle challenging behaviours and finally have the passion to support young adults in need of support.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring for children and young people and their families who are at risk of serious youth violence, gang activity and exploitation

  • Carry out one-to-one mentoring work with a caseload of clients (aged 11-25 years) and produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, ensuring that they are equipped to think critically, assess risk, and make better life choice

  • Work closely with the pastoral and safeguarding leads, up skilling partners, attending partnership meetings and contributing expertise around lived experience and local knowledge

  • Maintain accurate records of your mentoring work, session work and data collection

  • Represent the organisation and working collaboratively with external organisations, partners and corporate supporters

Experience required:

  • Experience required supporting high risk service users in Social Housing

  • Experience handling safeguarding concerns

  • Experience liaising with external services such as: the police, social services and local authorities

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Safeguarding knowledge and expertise

  • Ability to handle high risk needs

  • Expertise of handling challenging behaviors

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
