Job description

Our client, based in South Wales, are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Building Safety Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start as soon as possible. The salary for the role is £53,930 and includes a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave increasing to 30 with each year of service, a 2% pension contribution and 24-hour access to a GP.

The ideal candidate will hold either a HNC or NEBOSH Qualification, have managerial compliance experience and have experience using a range of compliance systems.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations like the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, Gas Safety Regulations, electrical wiring standards, asbestos management and lift and lifting

  • Managing and developing a team of Compliance Coordinators, a Compliance Administrator and a Fire & Building Safety Partner

  • Working with the Head of Building Safety to deliver service improvements, optimise procurement opportunities, secure budget performance and optimise all systems to support team performance

  • Managing compliance and Building Safety contractors to ensure performance and value for money, including monitoring and reporting on KPIs

  • Writing, amending and maintaining relevant building safety/compliance policies and procedures

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Management experience
