Job description
We are currently partnering with one of the UK’s largest Housing Association’s, who are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join their new-build development department on a permanent basis.
Our client is proud to be recognised as an industry leader within the Housing sector, supplying high quality domestic homes across the whole of England. This role in particular will be based from their Bristol office, and cover development across the South West.
Hybrid working is on offer for this role, however the exact home/ site working split will vary on the demands of each site.
This is a full-time position with a salary of £76,702 per annum, with a host of additional benefits, and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing Development Projects through from land acquisition through to completion
- Ensuring that Development projects are delivered both within the agreed timeframe and in line with set budgets
- Holding sub-contractors to account for any delays and defects
- Holding budgetary control for developments
- Ensuring that all projects were completed in line with all relevant compliance and corporate practices
- Recording and reporting key construction cost data for both reporting purposes and appraisals
- Utilizing knowledge of the Joint Contract Tribunal forms of contract throughout all stages of development
Experience required:
- Recent exposure to Land Acquisition
- Proven experience of new build projects, from inception through to defect stage
- OSM and SIP experience
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- A strong commercial mindset
- Budget management
- An excellent understanding of JCT contracts
- A relevant degree or associated qualification
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects

- Monday – Friday, circa 9am-5pm, however there can be flexibility on this
