Job description
We are currently partnering with a large, respected and progressive not-for-profit business in Bristol in their search for a Business Analyst on a permanent basis.
Working within the Business Change Team, the key function of the role is to provide business analysis support on an exciting digital transformation programme of work and continuous improvement activities. The role works closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify, analyse, and recommend business improvements and develop solutions.
The Key Activities:
Produce design documents, containing multi-level process maps that can portray business requirements, data requirements and data flows between applications including system interfaces
Work closely with project managers to identify the drivers, costs, benefits, and impacts of a proposed business change to develop the business case
Design and facilitate workshops to engage staff to understand root cause issues, challenge assumptions to identify improvement opportunities for business benefit
Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
Develop user-stories / functional specifications to prioritise requirements against business value
Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts to the project manager
Analyse, validate and effectively communicate the requirements across stakeholder groups using appropriate modelling techniques
Communicate, challenge and influence a variety of stakeholders effectively to gain ownership, involvement and commitment
Working closely with IT Team to build business system knowledge including systems architecture and interfaces
Key skills required:
Extensive experience as a business analyst supporting the implementation of IT business-change projects and continuous improvement
Process-driven with a passion for process improvement
Detailed experience in leading effective workshops to elicit requirements and map out business change journeys
Proficiency in business analysis tools & techniques e.g. Business Process Modelling and use case modelling
