Job description
Our Local Authority client based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join the team on a part-time basis for 28-hours, and an initial 3-month assignment.
The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £55-60 p/hour via an Umbrella company, but this is negotiable subject to PQE and candidate expectations.
The role can be conducted fully remotely, and previous Local Government experience will be essential for the role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Handling a varied caseload of Adult Social Care and Court of Protection matters, including s16 applications, s21A challenges, s117s, ordinary residence, funding queries and deferred payments
- Providing advice to the client in regards to the Care Act 2014, and key ASC policies
Experience required:
- Strong Adult Social Care experience
- Relevant Professional Qualification – Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEX
Working hours:
- 28-hours per week
