Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Wiltshire, who are recruiting for an Activities and Engagement Coordinator on a temporary 12-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £18.00 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS certificate within 3 years, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Support Worker duties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for providing an intensive support service to three young people (aged 16-25) living within the organisations service in Swindon

  • Providing tenancy sustainment advice to service users to ensure they maintain their property and to not fall into arrears

  • Supporting customers who have faced previous trauma and complex needs including: care leavers, mental health and substance misuse

  • Provide individualized support to address the specific needs of each young person, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their full potential

  • Effectively contribute to the development and implementation of innovative programmes and activities to foster personal growth and emotional well-being

  • Advising service users on their welfare benefit entitlements and helping them to access these

  • Providing support with education and employment opportunities within the community

  • Ensuring the safeguarding of customers at all times and signposting service users to any necessary additional support services

Experience required:

Experience required in Social Housing

Experience working with vulnerable tenants within housing

Working hours:

40 hours per week

Monday – Friday with hours between 8am to 8pm
