We are currently working in partnership with a Not-for-Profit organisation based in Leicester, who are recruiting for a Treasury Accountant on a permanent basis. The position is due to start as soon as possible offering a salary of £45,000 and requiring travel to the office only one day per week.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and treasury management.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing Control Accounts and contributing to the monthly management accounts packs

• Producing detailed interest and departmental forecasts and providing variance analysis with commentary

• Manually reconciling bank, general and control accounts

• Processing treasury-related postings into the GL to support timely delivery of month-end and year-end routines

• Taking ownership of accounting ledger, encompassing processing of monthly accounting transactions and preparation of statutory accounts

• Preparing hedge effectiveness calculations and post relevant journals, liaising with external treasury advisors and auditors as required

• Maintaining accurate and reliable cash books for key treasury bank accounts

• Performing timely year-end calculations to evidence actual out-turns under loan covenants, working with Auditors where necessary

Experience required:

• Accounting background

• Strong understanding of Treasury processes

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Intermediate MS Excel level
