Job description
The team and I are currently partnering with a Global Vehicle Manufacturer based in the West Midlands who are looking for a Trainee Finance Business Partner to join the team on a three year FTC.
Our client are looking for an ambitious finance graduate with 1-3 years post graduate experience and a strong understanding of MS Excel and the ability to asses, identify and correct any mistakes on existing spreadsheets as well as create your own from scratch.
The role offers a salary of up to £32,000 (dependent on experience) and requires travel to the office once per week, after an initial training period.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Working as part of the Commercial Finance team acting as a Finance Business Partner for all levels of internal stakeholders up to Director level
Responsibility for all aspects of the profitability of a part of the New Vehicle range
Preparing the financial result each month and financial forecast updates
Responsibility of updating the P&L and consolidating the other activities
Contributing actively in the development of the monthly forecast and budget
Completing all month end activities including accruals and prepayments
Acting as first point of contact for an MS Excel queries, assessing faulty spreadsheets, identifying cause of issue and fixing
Experience required:
1 – 3 years post graduate experience in a finance role
Commercial Finance experience is preferred but not required
Person specification:
Extremely confident with MS Excel, able to develop and produce new spreadsheets and amend existing faulty ones
Recent Finance Graduate looking to progress within Commercial Finance
Studying/desire to study professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc)
