Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Surrey, who are recruiting for a Specialist Housing Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with hybrid working (3 days home working per week) and a salary of £43,087.00 per annum, rising to £45,000 per annum once probation has been passed.

The ideal candidate will have a leasehold or housing management background and will have used the NEC (Northgate) system previously.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Effectively line managing a team and supporting them to deliver services that are responsible for supporting the management and oversight of all third-party agreements and contracts within the Homeownership schemes
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of leases and service level agreements and providing support and assistance to staff and internal departments as required
  • Regularly meeting with Homeowners & Resident Associations to discuss and resolve disputes through internal dispute processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting collaborative working
  • Understanding and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Empowering and motivating the staff to consistently meet and exceed performance targets
  • Managing and building relationships with stakeholders to promote the service and its activities

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience overseeing Managing Agents

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Leasehold or housing management
  • Experience using NEC system (desired)
  • Line management of staff
