Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a reputable Housing Association who are looking to take on two Repairs Surveyors on a permanent basis that can interview and start within the coming weeks.

These will be full-time positions based in Surrey and West London, with 1 day per week hybrid working. The salary for this role is up to £55,000 per annum dependent on experience.

The successful candidate will have access to their own vehicle and hold a full UK driver’s license.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Inspect housing stock and building works, prepare specifications; compile tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs and void works

  • Carry out pre and post inspections

  • Work with contractors to utilise the budget for maintenance effectively and project manage customer requests

  • Proactively communicate with customers, internal or external, in line with agreed processes

  • Provide technical support and advice to repair advisors and administrators

  • To progress, manage and communicate to all internal and external customers in relation to complaints, MP enquiries, EHO compliant and Legal disrepairs

  • Work with the Administration Team to organise workloads and effectively manage communication

Experience required:

  • Experience of scheduling building / planned maintenance works and contract administration

  • Experience of communicating with service users, staff and other agencies

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Must have a formal qualification e.g HNC/HND/CIOB

  • Knowledge of housing maintenance, repair specifications, diagnosing defects and remedial works

  • A strong knowledge of social housing management

  • Skills in housing / property management systems (Northgate or similar)
