Job description
We are currently partnering with an award-winning cost & employers agent consultancy practice, who are recruiting for Project Surveyors to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is proud to have played a pivotal role in supporting some of the most innovative, sustainable and successful construction projects in the UK and beyond.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £30,000 to £65,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing both pre and post contract services, including; budget estimates, cost plans, measurements, valuing works on site, cost reports and agreeing final accounts
Utilising creativity to ensure building projects remain within given budget, scrutinising maintenance and material costs to ensure expenses are minimised to the best deals
Working with developers to monitor design development and the progress on agreed budgets from initial calculations to final figures
Producing tender documentation and providing regular reports, such as feasibility reports
Ensuring all project work meets all relevant technical and professional standards on a consistent basis
Experience required:
A relevant degree or masters qualification in Quantity Surveyor or similar equivalent subject
Experience working in a surveying consultancy
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Member of RICS to be considered for the higher salary bracket
Familiar with common forms of contract such as JCT and NEC
