Job description

We are currently partnering with a homeless charity in South London, who are recruiting for a People Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £43,925 and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing guidance on People practices such as restructures and employee relations

  • Leading on People casework and employee relations with regards to conduct, performance, grievance, TUPE, restructures, and sickness absence

  • Driving line manager capability, providing management coaching in complex or performance related cases and the delivery of people processes

  • Supporting key stakeholders across the chairty through the People team, influencing and guiding on strategic issues such as organisational development and workforce planning efficiency

  • Partnerning with the charity to drive the diversity and inclusion, culture and engagement and wellbeing agendas and outputs

Experience required:

  • Significant experience within a People / People generalist role, ideally qualified to CIPD Level 7 or working towards this

  • Strong track record and knowledge of UK HR legislation to manage the ER caseload

  • Experience of effective use of data to provide insights that drive the strategic People plan

  • Great attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Good level of IT literacy in particular Excel, strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal / teamwork skills with an ability to facilitate and coach others

  • Whilst committing to the team objectives, demonstrate personal accountability for delivery of personal actions

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri

  • 2 days per week working from home
