We are currently working with a prestigious University who are looking to appoint an interim CFO on a 6 month contract.

As a member of the Executive Board, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic guidance, supporting the commercial leadership and providing high-level advice to the Vice-Chancellor.

The role is due to start as soon as possible, with interviews scheduled for week commencing 16th September.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Contributing to companywide strategies through financial leadership

• Overall responsibility of £850m annual spend and a £80m capital programme

• Providing leadership for the finance functions human, financial and physical resources

• Offering strategic advice on financial strategy, investment, risk and deployment of resources

• Ensuring compliance with institutional, legal and regulatory requirements

• Suggesting innovative strategies for financing estate and other investments

• Providing the Vice-Chancellor are provided with timely and easily accessible financial information for planning, resource allocation and strategic decision making

Essential requirements

• Experience working with the Education sector

• Proven track record in working at an executive level

• Significant experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams

• Knowledge of the challenges facing the Higher Education sector
