Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a leading educational institution based in West London, who are recruiting for a HR Manager on a maternity cover 12 month fixed term contract. The salary is between £40,000 - £46,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have educational and single central register experience

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing advice and guidance to staff on a range of HR related issues including keeping yourself up-to-date on employment matters

  • Managing the Single Central Register and lead safeguard checks including DBS processes

  • Assisting senior leaders in implementing HR policies and procedures in line with Diocesan guidance, the organisation business plan and ensure HR plans support both the needs of the organisations and the individual schools

  • Providing first line HR advice to line managers to ensure compliance with employment legislation, organisation policies and maintaining positive employee relations

  • Ability to make decisions with rapidly changing priorities and provide leadership by example, inspiring and influencing others

  • Ensuring compliance checking across schools in the organisation, with regards to HR administration, policies and procedures including ensuring HR systems, files and procedure are kept up to date and accurate

Experience required:

  • Single Central Register experience

  • Working within education previously

Skills knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to communicate will all levels of staff

  • Ability to work independently

  • Organisational skills

  • Up to date employment law knowledge
