Job description
Our client, based in Borough of Croydon is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor (systems and communications) on a 1–3-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate must have strong systems experience and ideally have used ‘iTrent’ as well as hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Supporting with the maintenance and development of the HR system (iTrent), utilising support from the systems provider (MHR) where required and producing Business Object reports from the system
leading on the maintenance of the staff intranet, ensuring content is up to date, and provides rlevant hub and communication channel for staff information
Ensuring that the team are trained on the HR system (iTrent) and can accurately input and update employee data in a timely way for payroll processing for allocated areas
Training staff on the VTS system for processing sessional lecturers and that managers and staff using the system are appropriately supported, ensuing claims are processed in a timely way
Supporting HR casework at all stages of the process, coaching managers and staff through the relevant process and procedures, including disciplinary, sickness, probation, performance improvement and flexible/hybrid working requests
Providing an excellent recruitment service to managers, staff and applicants through provision of administrative and advisory support throughout the recruitment process
Ensuring the effective management of onboarding for new starters (including DBS, Single Central Record and other compliance processes required in a safeguarding environment) and that it provides an excellent employee experience for new staff
Experience required:
Experience of using data reports to analyse trends and identify priority areas
Experience of working with business areas to provide a comprehensive HR service provision
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and identify priority HR activity to support business areas
Ability to use initiative in dealing with complex problems, with a strong customer service-focus
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
