Our client, based in Cheltenham, is currently recruiting for a Home Climate Lead on a six-month contract with a likelihood of being extended.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The daily rate for the role would be circa £400 via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate needs to be available on a short notice, and have active working knowledge of decarbonisation, net zero projects and retrofit.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading on the development of a local authority’s decarbonisation policy for domestic properties, in line with their target of being Carbon neutral by 2030

• Acting as an intermediary between the LA and central government in relation to obtaining Wave 2 and Wave 3 funding

• Identifying areas across the LA’s housing stock where carbon efficiency can be improved

• Applying for external grant funding, and identifying where additional grants and funding streams could be available

• Working on a project of 600 properties that are rated below SAP C 

Experience required:

• Experience delivering retrofit/decarbonisation programmes

• Experience of liaising with government bodies to obtain retrofit funding
