Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Yorkshire-based housing association, who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time, home-based position, with sites across Yorkshire, and a salary of £54,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of leading Health & Safety services across maintenance and construction teams, and will required a NEBOSH qualification.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Line managing a time of up to three Health & Safety Advisors
Supporting and guiding operational Health & Safety issues across the repairs, maintenance and construction teams
Delivering Health & Safety experience through development of the Health & Safety management system
Creating and implementing risk and safety assessments, safe systems of work, training, coaching, health & safety promotions, inspections, as well as accident/incident prevention and investigations
Working with the Learning & Development team to ensure appropriate training is identified and delivered for all
Developing and delivering a robust audit and assurance programme
Developing accident/incident prevention programmes, support on investigations
Experience, Skills & Qualifications required:
Health & Safety management experience in a technical environment
Knowledge of CDM and contractor management
Experience of health, safety and environmental management systems (such as, ISO45001 & ISO14001)
NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ L6 Diploma, Health & Safety Degree (or equivalent)
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
