Job description

Our client, based in Birmingham, are currently recruiting for a Head of Property Compliance on a permanent contract. The salary for this position is up to £52,000 per annum, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office per week.

The ideal candidate will have experience of building and safety management, including health and safety, with knowledge of the building safety act. Facilities management is also desirable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing the compliance service, while managing a Customer Service & Repairs Manager

  • Monitoring and improving Property Compliance standards within the workplace, ensuring legislative compliance

  • Ensuring compliance, health & safety records and certifications are up-to-date

  • Supporting the implementation of a new MS D365 system to be used across the compliance function

  • Leading on contract management for outsourced compliance services, including Gas, Fire & Asbestos

  • Carrying out inspections and preparing reports on the delivery of works

  • Working regularly with the Board and key stakeholders regarding ongoing compliance programmes and works

  • Providing advice across the business in regarding to compliance and building safety, and leading on training

Expertise required:

  • Relevant membership with IOSH

  • Experience of building and safety management, including health and safety

  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle

  • Experience of working within policies, procedure and frameworks

  • Understanding of housing management systems and the Building Safety Act 2021

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday

  • 9am - 5pm

  • 2 days working from home
