Job description
We are currently working with a Housing Association based in Kent who are recruiting for a Governance Officer on a temporary four-month basis.
The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate of pay is negotiable dependant on experience. It is fully remote other than mandatory Tuesday office presence.
Also, all candidates must be available on the 5th of December for a board meeting.
The ideal candidate will have Social Housing sector experience, as well as be familiar with the system Convene.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing a comprehensive level of proactive administrative and organisational support to the Governance and Compliance functions
Acting as the Lead for the scheduling of all meetings and awaydays, as well as collating and publishing meeting packs
Taking minutes for the Board and all subsidiaries, board committees, Health and Safety Committee and Data Steering Committee
Providing support to Board Members including; induction, appraisals, DOIs, contact records, training and development, expenses and IT queries
Maintaining the Board portal, as well as administering support to users
Experience required:
Track record of providing governance administrative and organisational support
Working in a regulated environment and working with boards and committees
Management of boards including meeting organisation and minute taking
Experience of producing detailed and accurate written, statistical and numerical information
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of social housing including regulation
Understanding in the areas of governance, GDPR compliance and corporate Health and Safety
Working hours:
Monday to Friday (8:30-5)
Hybrid working
