Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a not-for-profit organisation based in South East London, who are recruiting for a Global Administrator on a hybrid temporary six month contract. The position is due to start in September. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable based upon experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an international organisation, previously being surrounded working with people of other nationalities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the admin of the organisation and should have extensive experience planning and booking events/travel and anything necessary.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Organising and facilitating committee meetings by developing detailed agendas, coordinating schedules, and ensuring all necessary materials are prepared and distributed in advance

  • Identify and secure appropraite venues for meetings considering factors such as location capacity and technical requirements

  • Managing budgets for committee meetings, including cost estimation, allocation of funds, and monitoring expenditures to ensure financial efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints

  • Coordinating with professional interpreters to provide language support during meetings, ensuring clear and effective communication among participants from diverse linguistic backgrounds

  • Taking notes during meetings and creating detailed reports summarising key points and action plans

  • Planning and coordinating travel logistics for committee members, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation

Experience required:

  • Working in an international organisation

  • Strong verbal and written skills

  • Strong numerical skills

  • Proficient on Microsoft Teams

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Experience processing invoices

  • Up to date knowledge and awareness when dealing with Finance

  • Experience taking notes in meetings

  • Experience working closely with other languages

  • Extensive experience organising and booking events/travel etc

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
