Job description

We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association based in Wiltshire, who are recruiting for a Fire Safety Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary banding of £52,000 - £57,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Taking responsibility for the organisation’s fire safety obligations, focused on domestic dwellings

  • Leading on the contract administration and management of major fire safety contracts, ensuring they are within budget and meeting specified KPIs

  • Overseeing fire safety construction projects, including but not limited to Compartmentation and fire stopping projects

  • Serving as the primary contact for all matters relating to the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety Order 2005

  • Managing and coordinating fire safety upgrades and programmes

  • Directly line managing a team of in house contractors and administrators

  • Monitoring and controlling budgets for all fire safety projects and conducting detailed cost analysis

  • Upholding all ‘Golden Thread’ information, ensuring data is accurate and robust

  • Completing pre and post inspections of work, in particular relating to the work of third party contractors

  • Ensuring all CDM requirements are met

  • Tendering for and procuring contractors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a HND in construction or a related discipline

  • Strong background in fire safety

  • Working knowledge of The Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Regulatory Reform order 2005
