Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association based in Wiltshire, who are recruiting for a Fire Safety Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary banding of £52,000 - £57,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Taking responsibility for the organisation’s fire safety obligations, focused on domestic dwellings
Leading on the contract administration and management of major fire safety contracts, ensuring they are within budget and meeting specified KPIs
Overseeing fire safety construction projects, including but not limited to Compartmentation and fire stopping projects
Serving as the primary contact for all matters relating to the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety Order 2005
Managing and coordinating fire safety upgrades and programmes
Directly line managing a team of in house contractors and administrators
Monitoring and controlling budgets for all fire safety projects and conducting detailed cost analysis
Upholding all ‘Golden Thread’ information, ensuring data is accurate and robust
Completing pre and post inspections of work, in particular relating to the work of third party contractors
Ensuring all CDM requirements are met
Tendering for and procuring contractors
Requirements:
Minimum of a HND in construction or a related discipline
Strong background in fire safety
Working knowledge of The Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Regulatory Reform order 2005
