Job description
We are currently working with a well-established educational institution in Cambridgeshire, who are looking to appoint an ER Adviser on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based, with hybrid working (2 days home working).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of dealing with high volumes of ER casework, and ideally be CIPD L3 or L5 qualified.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Acting as the first point of contact to provide advice and solutions to managers on employee relations matters including, working arrangements, contractual matters, sickness, employee communication and consultation, in line with current legislation
Responding to a wide range of customer enquiries, via telephone, e-mail or other correspondence, relating to HR issues/administration in a professional manner, to ensure that clients receive timely, accurate and valuable advice
Liaising with the school’s other allocated contacts, to ensure a seamless HR, Payroll & Pensions service
Drafting template letters in relation to any informal/formal meetings relating to ER cases, attending meetings/hearings as deemed necessary
Working in conjunction with colleagues in the HR advisory team to effectively hand over relevant cases ensuring a smooth and consistent service is provided
Delivering a range of HR activities within identified areas of work and support the work of HR Partners and Lead HR Partners
Actively contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the HR Advisory team, undertaking specific projects to embed consistency and best practice
Keeping professionally up to date with human resource management trends and initiatives locally and nationally, identifying how they may impact on local service requirements and delivery or be utilised to improve efficiency
Undertaking HR related assignments and projects as identified by senior colleagues that are appropriate to this role and the individual’s experience
Maintaining HR information management systems will relevant information, as per standard operating procedures
Attending and advising at formal meetings, where appropriate in accordance with experience and knowledge
Experience required:
Experience dealing with a high volume of ER casework
Ideally CIPD L3 or L5 qualified

Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
