We are currently working in partnership with Legal Firm who are recruiting for a Housing Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis for 3-months initially.

The position is due to start immediately with the hourly rate of pay is £50.00 via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience within Local Government, and be able to attend Court or the office in South London on a once-a-week basis.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Undertaking all aspects of Housing Litigation, with a focus on unauthorised occupation, possession claims, trespass, rent arrears, injunctions and homelessness applications

• Managing a full caseload of Housing Law and housing management advisory work through to completion

• Representing the Council at the Law Courts, Tribunals and meetings as required

• Supporting the City Solicitor and Legal team with regard to the conduct of legal casework

Experience required:

• Experience working within a Local Government
