​We are currently partnering with a national charity, who are recruiting for a Data Protection Advisor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position based in Central London with the successful candidate expected to attend the office once a fortnight (subject to business needs), with an offered salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring that all GDPR/data protection requirements are understood and fully met across the organisation

• Acting as the data protection subject matter expert, providing colleagues with high quality advice and guidance on best practice and approaches across a range of data protection requirements including: data breach advice and management, subject access requests, data protection impact analysis and data sharing

• Contributing to the development, drafting and implementation of relevant data protection policies, processes and procedures

• Drafting relevant quarterly reports for Boards and Committees in relation to data protection

• Supporting the delivery of data protection training and awareness across the organisation

Experience required:

• Previous experience working in a data protection focused position

• Previous experience working for a public sector organisation, ideally a charity

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Data protection, information governance and GDPR

• Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
