Job description
Our client, based in the Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Damp and Mould Manager on a permanent basis. The client will also consider interim options for this position.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary is £55,000 to £60,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of leading Damp, Mould & Disrepair services within social housing.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leading a dedicated team focused on diagnosing and addressing damp, mould, and disrepair issues
Managing a small group of Surveyors, Liaison Officers, and Operatives to ensure high-quality service delivery
Ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard while maintaining exceptional customer service
Collaborating closely with planned and major works teams to efficiently execute damp and mould remediation efforts
Identifying and implementing solutions to manage and reduce the underlying causes of these issues
Driving initiatives to adopt a proactive and preventive approach to damp and mould challenges
Overseeing the achievement of commitments and action plans related to damp and mould, ensuring timelines and expected outcomes are met
Providing timely and accurate interventions for more complex issues
Working alongside legal services to effectively manage disrepair cases
Implementing strategies to help the team resolve disrepair cases promptly and reduce the current caseload
Experience/Qualifications required:
A strong background of leading property maintenance teams
A successful track record of addressing damp, mould and disrepair issues
Experience of working within Social Housing
Experience of working with social housing tenants and providing a high level of customer service
A minimum of a HNC or equivalent qualification

35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
