Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a social housing provider in the North West, who are recruiting for a Conveyancer to join the team on a locum basis.
This will be a full-time position based in Greater Manchester, with hybrid and agile working, offering an hourly rate that is flexible depending on candidate’s experience and expectations.
The ideal candidate will have skills in all areas of conveyancing, and experience working within social housing.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a mixed caseload to include all aspects of conveyancing regarding the sale and purchase of properties and land
- Processing Right to Buy and Right to Acquire applications for the organisation’s properties
- Drafting and completing conveyancing documentation, with careful attention to searches, matters on the title and registration, and leases for both commercial and residential property
- Overseeing and advising on the stock transfer of properties from other registered providers and internal redevelopment schemes
- Reviewing and revising conveyancing documents to ensure compliance with current legislation, Homes England and regulatory requirements
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Qualified Conveyancer, Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer is desirable
- Conveyancing in regards to sale and purchase of land/property
- Social housing experience is essential
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- Hybrid and agile working
- Part-time applicants will be considered
