Job description
Our client, a City Council based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join their Advocacy team on a locum basis for 3-months initially.
The position is due to start immediately and offers a rate of up to £55 p/hour UMB.
The role offers remote working, with attendance required for Court hearings.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Conducting court hearings on behalf of the Local Authority, in Children’s Law and other related matters
Handling a range of hearings, including directions hearings and contested hearings
Drafting orders and other documents, and attending advocates meetings and other meetings at times
Providing cover for other hearings as required, including those relating to Adult Services
