Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Educational Institution based in Middlesex, who are recruiting for a Business Support Manager on a temporary basis until December 31st.The position is due to start at the beginning of October, with the potential for extension. The annual salary for this role is £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will be an organised, strategic leader with strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, ensuring smooth operations, team development, compliance, and safeguarding within the educational institution.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing the overall management of financial, administrative, and support functions

  • Managing and developing administrative staff to ensure efficient team operations

  • Ensuring proper budgeting, resource allocation, and staff management within the extended schools function

  • Handling all data protection and ensuring school compliance with GDPR regulations to protect personal information

  • Leading key projects and providing strategic guidance through accurate and timely report

  • Proactively reviewing resources, advising leadership, and aligning budget plans with the school development plan

  • Accurately recording and monitoring of staff absence and HR-related information for compliance and staff management

  • Ensuring safety procedures and compliance for all school trips and site maintenance, including liaising with the Site Manager

Experience required:

  • Educational management experience

  • Experience in managing and leading staff

  • Experience in Project management e.g. building projects

  • Ability to analyse, interpret, collate and present management information through reports and plans

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • High level IT skills particularly in Excel spreadsheets and Word

  • Strategic approach to planning and business development

  • Understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of safeguarding/Child Protection

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
