Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a leading Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are looking to appoint a driven ASB Manager for their team.

This will be a full-time position based in Leicestershire, on a two-month temporary contract initially (with the potential for extension).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dealing with cases of Anti-Social Behaviour, as well as managing a team.

The hourly rate for this role is £38.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Directly line managing a team of six ASB Officers and one Team Administration Assistant
  • Representing the service corporately and liaising with external partners and stakeholders
  • Providing leadership cover across Housing and Tenancy Management Services and deputising as required
  • Ensuring safe working practices are adhered to and complied with in terms of legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Developing action plans that promote a more holistic approach to managing and responding to ASB across the housing estate
  • Working in close partnership with the Community Safety Team, Housing and Tenancy, Tenancy Sustainment Team, and the Police
  • Ensuring the effective training of ASB officers in managing complex ASB investigations including legal processes and representing the Association in legal proceedings
  • Working closely with the Housing Management Services, leading and managing the ASB team, in making effective use of relevant statutory powers and policies and effectively managed ASB casework, investigations and legal actions
  • Providing effective support to team members through conducting appraisals, audits, training and inductions

Experience required:

  • Overcoming high-level cases of ASB
  • Liaising with external partners
  • Conducting team training exercises

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to mediate complex situations
  • Up-to-date on Housing and ASB legislation
  • Strong methods of performance management

Working hours:

  • 37.00 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
