Job description

Our Local Authority client based in Oxfordshire, is currently recruiting for an Adult Social Care Lawyer on a locum basis, for 3-months initially with potential for extension.

The role offers home working with attendance required on a monthly basis, and the rate is negotiable subject to PQE.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Undertaking a range of legal work in connection with Adult Social Care Law, and providing general legal advice to all client departments of Oxfordshire County Council

  • Handling own caseload, focused on Adult Social Care, Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, Mental Health Act & Safeguarding

  • Assisting Legal Services in maintaining the provision of an effective and efficient Legal Service to the County Council

  • Supporting County Legal Services in maintaining the provision of an effective and efficient legal service to the County Council in compliance with the LEXCEL Office Procedures Manual, formulated in accordance with the Law Society’s Practice Management Standards

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Local Government

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday
