Job description

We are currently partnering with a leading social housing provider based in Cheltenham, who are recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join their growing team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Our client is proud to be recognised as a charity with a key focus on supporting adults with complex needs to get access to affordable housing.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £28,000 (subject to experience) and they are looking to get someone started as soon as possible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain relationships with tenants within their own homes and other relevant agencies to ensure effective support and communication

  • Support tenants in understanding their responsibilities as tenants and ensure they comply with the terms of their tenancy agreement

  • Assess tenants' needs and identify any gaps in service provision, developing personalized support plans to help them achieve positive outcomes

  • Assist tenants in maximizing their income through benefits advice, Universal Credit applications, and other relevant support

  • Undertake home visits to assess needs and provide support in the tenant's own environment.

  • Track the progress of tenants and review their support plans regularly to ensure they are meeting their needs and achieving their goals

Experience required:

  • Experience required working with a Social Housing provider

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Knowledge of welfare and benefits

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Able to assess the support needs of tenants

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
