We are currently working in partnership with an East Midlands based Local Authority who are looking to appoint a Surveyor on a six month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time site and office based position, paying £30.00 per hour via an umbrella company. The client is looking for somebody to start around mid to late March.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Social Housing surveying.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Overseeing domestic property works conducted by a newly onboarded contractor for the capital works team

• Leading on all areas of Planned & Capital Works, including kitchen & bathrooms, roofing, decarbonisation, groundworks, boilers etc.

• Conducting pre-, post- and WIP inspections

• Providing technical advice to colleagues and contractors

• Completing reports on inspections and any contractor issues

• Liaising with tenants regarding any ongoing or arising issues in relation to Capital Works

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing

• Experience working with customers within housing

• Have a proven background carrying out planned investment programmes

• Managed contractors and dealt with underperforming contractors

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week

• Monday – Friday
