Job description

Our client, based in Lincolnshire, is currently recruiting for a Community Safety Officer on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary being offered is between £33,287.00 - £36.986.00 per annum depending upon experience.

The ideal candidate will have access to a vehicle and be an experienced ASB/ Community Safety Officer.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Undertaking multiple and complex caseloads of anti-social behaviour issues around patch
  • Identifying, preparing, collating, and evaluating evidence for legal and other civil proceedings
  • Attending Court to instruct Barristers and give first hand evidence
  • Remaining fully up to date with available preventative and diversionary measures
  • Ensuring that full consideration is given to diversionary and preventative measures prior to undertaking enforcement action
  • Undertaking risk assessments and taking precautions where necessary to ensure personal safety when dealing with enforcement cases
  • Supporting, guiding and advising the Housing Officers in dealing with breaches of tenancy in line with policy and procedure
  • Keeping accurate and up to date records of actions that are being taken at all times
  • Working closely with the Police, Local Authorities, and other partner agencies to address prevention and enforcement related issues

Experience required:

  • Experience of working closely with customer to tackle complex issues
  • Working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience of presenting cases in court and attending evictions
  • Experience of managing rent income and service charges

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent multi-channel communication skills
  • Ability to write and present reports
  • Commitment to working as part of a team, independently and collaboratively with others
  • Customer focused and keen to deliver high standards
