Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Kingswood, who are recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer on a two month interim contract. The position is due to start immediately, with an hourly rate up to £18.00 per hour via an umbrella company

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering excellent customer service, support and sets a clear agenda for service users to access move-on accommodation where possible

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure income maximization

  • Assisting vulnerable clients with general housing management issues, such as ASB queries, Tenancy management and Income support

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co -produced planned programme of support

  • Assessing the support needs and risks of individuals in line with the organisation Support Delivery and Risk Management procedures

  • Working in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the effective delivery of support and improve outcomes for those receiving services

  • Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisation procedures

  • Providing general-needs tenancy management service within a supported housing setting

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co -produced planned programme of support

  • Assisting individuals to identify and access appropriate move on accommodation

  • Working hours:

    35 hours per week

    Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
