Job description
Our client, based in Portsmouth, is currently recruiting for a Support Worker (Temporary Accommodation) on a 2-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a part-time basis (18 hrs per week across any three days). The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable families/individuals who are at risk of homelessness, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and also have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Working in 58-unit temporary accommodation service housing families
Managing a caseload of 10 clients/families
Creating support plans and carrying out risk assessments
Signposting customers to additional support providers
Ensuring that all safeguarding protocols are followed
Carrying out property checks
Helping clients to sustain their tenancies and move on into more permanent sustainable accommodation
Experience required:
Experience working with families at risk of homelessness
Working hours:
18 hours per week (across any three days)
