Job description

Are you a compassionate and considerate individual with a passion for making a difference in Young People Lives (16-25 years old)? We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Accommodation Enabler, for the UKs number one Young Peoples Charities for a 3-month period.

This is a full-time position with a hourly rate up to £16 via an Umbrella Company (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to your notice period.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Helping tenants to maintain their rooms and living spaces

  • Assisting clients to find move on accommodation and providing advice to help sustain their tenancies

  • Offering with welfare and benefits advice as well as giving support with general money management

  • Creating support plans and undertaking risk assessments

  • Signposting client queries to the appropriate external agency such as the Police, Probation Services, Social Services and Local Authorities

  • Encouraging clients to get involved with community activities and socialise with those around them

  • Assisting with tenancy management, low level anti-social behaviour complaints, rental arrears and more

  • Work in partnership with housing management and maintenance to address housing management issues

Experience required:

  • The ideal candidate MUST have an Enhnaced DBS from with 1 year or be it on the Update Service

  • Experience within Supported Housing/Hostel envrionment

  • Handling challenging unpredictable behvaiour

  • Ability to improve the services and the lives of Young People in the Housing Assocation

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Welfare and benefits knowledge

  • Handling of challenging behaviours, including ASB

  • Respectful

  • Considerate but undertsnad professional boundaries

Rewards and Benefits:

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Shift Patterns between: 08:00-22:00PM

  • 08:00AM-17:00PM

  • 10:00PM-19:00PM

  • 14:00PM-22:00PM
