Job description
We are proud to be partnering with a highly reputable local authority based in Gloucestershire, who are looking to appoint a Senior Surveyor on a 6-month temporary contract.
This will be a full-time position based in Cheltenham, with hybrid working available and an offering an hourly rate of £35.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company. (Please still get in touch if you are looking for a higher rate)
The ideal candidate will have access to the Cheltenham area, and have extensive experience of EWI contracts, or similar contracts in the field of construction.
Please see below a list of the required duties:
Project managing two contracts for a Social Housing provider; EWI project, initially on 40 properties, rising to 80 long terms, and a fire door replacement scheme
Delivering and administering the contracts (all contractor procurement has already been completed!)
Chairing weekly and monthly meetings with contractors and stakeholders, and reporting on performance and progress
Creating financial reports on the projects
Overseeing contractor Health and Safety on site
Ensuring contractors are meeting pre-agreed SLAs and costings, and scrutinizing changes in cost
There is no direct line management for this role, but there will be a lot of communication with a Clerk of Works and RLO
Experience required:
Experience dealing with EWI/ CWI or related retrofit projects
Experience working with contractors
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Ability to manage the work of contractors
Ability to scrutinise the work of contractors and present findings to stakeholders
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm (Flexibility as required)
