​We are currently partnering with a Public Sector organisation in West Wales, who are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis until February 2025.

This is a full-time position, offering hybrid working and an hourly rate of £25.45 UMB; the start date is ASAP.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting the Group Accountant to create budgets and in annual closure of accounts

• Leading on the budget preparation and coordinating and completing closure of accounts

• Providing financial advice to responsible officers and budget managers

• Supervising a team of Assistant Accountants and Accounting Technicians

• Assisting in the calculation of financial performance indicators

Experience required:

• Year-end accounts closure

• Management Accounts
