Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Hertfordshire, who are recruiting for a Repairs Planner on a temporary 6 month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £15 per hour via PAYE inclusive of holiday pay.

 

The role offers 2-3 days working from home.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of scheduling responsive and voids works through the Dynamic Resourcing Scheduling system (DRS)

 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

·         To be responsible for undertaking daily diary scheduling for numerous trades persons on he DRS system (or similar), make timely real time adjustments to trades persons work plans

·         Continuously plan work flow by effectively scheduling appointments with Tenants and work programmes for other areas including but not limited to Insurance, Out of Hours, Emergency lighting and Mutual Exchanges, to ensure that daily schedules are balanced and efficient to meet conflicting needs

·         Undertake daily diary scheduling for numerous trades persons on the DRS system (or similar), make timely real time adjustments to trades persons work plans

·         Work closely with Repairs Managers, Supervisors, sub-contractors, suppliers to ensure a seamless appointment service to our residents and internal clients

·         Resolve day-to-day/operational issues using own initiative within broad guidelines, escalating only the most complex issues and situations and to work in conjunction with Supervisors

 

Experience required:

·         Experience required in repairs planning

·         Experience within Social Housing in highly desirable

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Knowledge of typical repair requests and solutions which can come up across housing stock.

·         Knowledge of repairs ordering systems

·         Accurate data entry skills, effective decisions making and an ability to prioritise workload are essential 

·         Excellent customer service skills provide

·         37.5 hours per week

·         Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
