Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading charity based in West London, who are recruiting for a People Officer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is proud to be recognised as a national charity that provides support to older people facing financial hardship.
This is a full-time position with a salary of £31,125 per annum (increasing to £32,000 after 6 months’ probation and £32,850 after 12 months) and the start date is in January 2024.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Reviewing, developing and effectively maintaining systems and processes to ensure that all transactional activity are undertaken accurately and efficiently
Coordinating the recruitment and onboarding process for staff and volunteers ensuring compliance with internal processes, best practice and safer recruitment procedures
Supporting with induction and training for staff and volunteers
Ensuring the accurate processing of information for payroll, pensions, and benefits
Managing shared email inboxes and providing first line advice on policies, procedures and queries from staff and volunteers, ensuring that queries are escalated appropriately where necessary
Maintaining the HR system, Payroll system and volunteer records on the CRM to ensure accuracy and data integrity, undertaking monthly audits to ensure information is correct
Processing and tracking the People and Organisational Development invoices
Escalating any complex issues to the People Manager or another manager in the People team
Experience required:
CIPD qualified or equivalent
Experience of working in an HR Operations environment
Experience of developing and improving systems and processes
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365 applications
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Customer focused, with excellent communication skills
