Job description
Our Local Authority client based in Wiltshire, is currently recruiting for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer to join the team on a locum basis, for 3-months initially.
The position is due to start immediately on a part-time basis for 22-hours a week, and the hourly rate is negotiable subject to PQE.
The role offers remote working, with Court attendance required in Wiltshire.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing high quality legal advice and competently managing a caseload of criminal matters and prosecutions, including food safety, Health & Safety, trading standards, licensing, prosecutions and education
Advising on any matters regulatory matters, legal and policy related issues
Drafting, negotiating and completing complex legal documentation
Representing the Council as required at Courts and Tribunals
Supporting with informal supervision of junior staff members as required
