Job description
Our client, based in Devon, is currently recruiting for a Licensing Officer on a 6-12 week temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is up to £40 per hour via umbrella, negotiable based on experience for this position.
The successful candidate must have experience of dealing with license applications and hold a full UK Driving Licence with access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Issuing taxi plates and carrying out visits within the district
Using detailed knowledge of the administration & enforcement of licensing legislation across the district to assess and approve license applications
Preparing and presenting detailed legal advice and presenting committee reports
Composing letters and reports using technical knowledge for assistance on a variety of licensing matters
Interviewing under caution and preparing prosecution files
Assisting on cases using knowledge and experience with PACE, CPIA, RIPA and other Acts association with investigations
Desired qualifications: Recognised Licensing qualification/Ofqual Level 3 qualification in Animal Licensing
Experience required:
Experience required in handling license applications
Experience enforcing in councils
Experience issuing taxi plates
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Letter writing
PACE, CPIA, RIPA and other Acts association with investigations
