Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Surrey, who are looking to appoint an Income Officer on a 6 months temporary basis.

This will be a full-time position and fully remote, with a negotiable hourly rate (dependent on experience).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience chasing former and current tenant rent arrears and have represented organisations in court.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing up 1000 customer rent accounts

  • Referring tenants to welfare benefits and debt support services

  • Preparing and submitting cases for court

  • Maximising income collections while minimising risk of repossession

Experience required:

  • Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Preparing court bundles

  • Strong customer service and complaint handling

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm

  • 100% home working
