Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a leading construction company based in South Staffordshire, who are recruiting for a permanent HR Business Partner to join their small but busy team. They are looking for a strong HR generalist, happy with getting stuck in at all levels, and can offer £55k with a £5k car allowance and yearly bonus.
The ideal candidate will have a generalist HR background with experience in the construction sector or similar.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Working closely with leadership teams to align people strategies with overall business goals
Providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice to managers on policies, procedures, and best practices
Overseeing employee relations activity, including conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and grievance management
Leveraging HR analytics via People HR to generate insights that inform data-driven decisions and enhance employee experience
Driving employee engagement and cultivating a positive company culture
Partnering with senior leaders to implement strategies that address the skills gap in the construction sector
Nurturing emerging talent and delivering early career programs, ensuring dedicated pastoral support for Apprentices and Graduates
Supporting the growth and development of the workforce, empowering them to reach their full potential
Advocating for continuous learning and development, actively seeking opportunities to foster a culture of ongoing improvement
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Strong previous experience within generalist HR operations
Experience working within the construction industry (desirable)
Competent handling project work and managing it with BAU workload
Comfortable in dealing with HR administration as required

Monday – Thursday, 8:30am-5pm
Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
