Job description
Our client, based in Newton Aycliffe/Darlington, is currently recruiting for a HR Adviser on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based, with hybrid working (three days home working).
The successful candidate must have experience of coaching and supporting managers with ER cases and ideally have or be studying towards a CIPD L3 or L5 qualification.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Acting as the first point of contact to provide advice and solutions on a range of HR matters including, employee relations casework, such as sickness absence, conduct, capability and grievance via phone or e-mail, in line with current legislation and statutory requirements
Responding to a wide range of customer enquiries, via telephone, e-mail or other correspondence, relating to the employment cycle, including working arrangements, terms and conditions, employee engagement, recruitment and retention
Developing client relationships, responding to queries in a professional manner, to ensure that clients receive timely, accurate and valuable advice
Supporting clients proactively and responsibly, enabling them to engage with digital solutions, data analytics and evidence-informed workforce plans and decisions
Drafting letters and reports in relation to employee relations meetings and investigations, attending meetings/hearings as appropriate
Supporting colleagues in the HR advisory team, picking up and handing over cases as appropriate, ensuring a smooth and consistent service is provided
Undertaking visits, where appropriate, to clients to provide support and advice on HR concerns to assist in their resolution, seeking feedback on service provision, and providing clients with updates
Experience required:
Minimum of 12 months experience in HR environment
Experience dealing with a high volume of ER casework
CIPD L3 or L5 qualified (or studying towards)
