Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association in the North-West, who for a locum Housing Management Solicitor to support the team on an initial 3-month basis.
They are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, and able to offer remote working.
The successful candidate must be qualified as a Solicitor or Legal Executive.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Handling a mixed caseload of housing management matters, including disrepair, occupation, ASB, successions and possessions
- Supervising the junior lawyers in the team, answering queries and acting as a point of escalation
- Attending Court hearings in the North West when necessary, handling own advocacy
- Developing efficient processes for housing management and litigation services, including witness support for anti-social behaviour cases, with out-of-hours visits when necessary
Experience required:
- Experience within Social Housing highly desirable
- Experience within the Public Sector essential
- Must be qualified as a Solicitor or Legal Executive
Working hours:
- Open to full-time or part-time applicants
- Monday – Friday
