Job description
Lur client, based in Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a HMO Specialist Project Manager on a temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The day rate is negotiable based on experience, up to £550 per day via Umbrella, for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with housing regulations, modern slavery act, HMO’s and experience collaborating with border force and the police for raids. They will also have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Leading and managing a project team focused on HMO enforcement in the West Midlands
- Collaborating with Border Force and the Police in planning and coordinating dawn raids and other enforcement actions
- Overseeing compliance with HMO licensing and ensuring properties meet all regulatory standards
- Working closely with internal teams and external partners, including legal teams and enforcement officers
- Ensuring effective resource management, project tracking, and reporting across the team
- Providing expert guidance and technical support on HMO-related matters
- Preparing detailed reports and regular updates for senior management and relevant committees
Experience required:
- HMO enforcement experience on behalf of a local Authority
- Leading enforcement actions
- Organising dawn raids
- Project management
