Job description
Our client, an employment and skills provider operating across the West and East Midlands, is looking for an ambitious Head of Strategy and Growth to spearhead their organisation’s expansion, working closely with senior leaders, stakeholders, and employers to develop and implement a dynamic growth strategy.
This is a permanent position, with a salary around £55,000 per annum (negotiable for exceptional candidates), offering hybrid working 2/3 days per week.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Business Development & Growth – Leading the implementation of the growth strategy, identifying new opportunities, and increasing revenue streams within skills training, including adult skills training and skills bootcamps. Supporting the preparation of supplemental bid requirements and contributing to the review of bid drafts
Stakeholder & Partnership Management – Building strong relationships with local authorities, awarding bodies, FE Colleges, and industry networks to enhance collaboration and funding opportunities. Maintaining an overview of combined/local authorities future contracting timelines and insights through regular scanning, bringing together insights to create expansion opportunities
Employer Engagement – Working closely with the Employer Engagement Team to develop and expand partnerships with businesses, creating a robust portfolio of skills training opportunities
Funding & Performance – Overseeing skills delivery performance, set KPIs, and analysing data to drive continuous improvement and financial sustainability
Expertise/personal attributes required:
Passionate towards driving success and pushing the business forwards, with a proven track record of success
Knowledge of how local authorities and educational institutes develop and lead partnerships with training providers
Demonstrable experience in business development, employer engagement and stakeholder management within the further education or skills training sector
Strong understanding of funding mechanisms and training delivery requirements
