Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a pioneering regulatory body providing career expertise in their sector, who are looking to appoint a Governance Officer on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position which is fully remote and can offer a salary bracket of £35,000 to £42,000 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate must be well-organised, have great time management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of organisational operations and governance principles and be able to act independently.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Functioning as the main point of contact for the Executive Team and key governance stakeholders

  • Advising colleagues on key parts of the Constitution, procedures and systems and suggest the correct or best way (or alternative ways) of dealing with different corporate governance issues arising

  • Assisting in progressing governance and risk operations to online platforms improving overall functions

  • Scheduling meetings with relevant persons, to include finding suitable venues within budget

  • Recording minutes and capturing actions with timelines where necessary as well as ensuring these actions are delivered by relevant persons

  • Working closely with the Executive and Chair of the Board to create agendas and manage papers

  • Collaborating closely with senior professionals to provide tailored support in a wide range of high-level administrative tasks including executive communication and handling of corporate documents

Experience required:

  • Experience working with a Board within a Governance role

  • Strong minute taking experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent MS Office knowledge and technology savvy

  • Fanatical attention to detail

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Outstanding stakeholder management ability

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday (9-5:15)

  • Fully remote
